Hungladder perches on Skye's northern tip, reached via the A855 from Portree through dramatic Highland scenery. Day-trippers from Portree cover 30 kilometres on winding single-track roads with passing places, whilst longer routes connect through Uig. The village sits near Duntulm Castle's 14th-century ruins, dramatically positioned on coastal cliffs overlooking the Outer Hebrides.
