Hollywood End occupies elevated ground on Stockport's southeastern fringe, where suburban streets give way to Pennine foothills. The A6015 provides the main access, linking directly to Stockport centre and continuing toward Marple. Long-distance visitors typically approach via M60 Junction 25, whilst local traffic uses Glossop Road for connections to Mellor and Compstall. The area's name derives from an ancient holly wood that once blanketed the hillside.
