Hollandstoun

Hollandstoun lies on Sanday in the northern Orkneys, reached via ferry from Kirkwall after the long drive north through Scotland. The island's single-track roads connect scattered crofting communities, with Sanday Airport offering flights from the mainland. The area's claim to fame is the magnificent Quoyness chambered cairn, a 5,000-year-old Neolithic tomb that ranks among Scotland's finest prehistoric monuments.
