Hillcrest

Hillcrest, up on the N3 between Durban and Pietermaritzburg, is a favourite stopover for folks doing the coast-to-Maritzburg run or heading further up to Gauteng. It's close enough to Kloof, Pinetown and Westville for a quick trip through, but far enough up in the hills to get that cooler, misty climate Durban doesn't have. Over 10 fast EV chargers are dotted around if you need a top-up. Don't miss the viewpoints over the Valley of a Thousand Hills just outside town, proper photo stop material.
