Higher Burrow is a small Somerset Levels village reached via the A372 from Langport or A378 from Curry Rivel. Most visitors come from Taunton (15 miles) or Yeovil (8 miles), whilst longer journeys use the A303 via Podimore roundabout. The flat, reclaimed marshland can flood in winter. It sits three miles from RNAS Yeovilton, so Navy helicopters regularly pass overhead.
