Hettick is a tiny farming town of 153 people in central Illinois, about 50 miles northeast of St. Louis. Take I-55 to the Litchfield exit, then Route 16 west for 15 miles. The historic wooden grain elevator towers over the surrounding cornfields and serves as a landmark visible for miles across the prairie.
