Hawk Point is a small Missouri town of 736 people located about 50 miles northwest of St. Louis via Highway 61. The main route from the city takes Interstate 70 west to Highway 61 north through rolling farmland. Local roads include Highway 47 east to Troy and Highway 79 toward the Mississippi River. The volunteer fire department, established in 1976, operates from a station that serves as the community's main gathering place.
