Havercroft lies in West Yorkshire's former mining belt, easily reached via the A638 between Wakefield and Doncaster. Junction 38 of the M1 provides motorway access, whilst local roads connect to neighbouring villages like Ryhill and Fitzwilliam. The area has over 150 EV charging points nearby. The village preserves its heritage through rows of Victorian miners' cottages that remain largely intact.
