Harworth

Harworth lies on Nottinghamshire's northern edge, just off the A614 near the Yorkshire border. This former pit town has reinvented itself since the colliery closed in 2006, with new housing and business developments replacing the old industrial landscape. The A614 provides the main route through town, connecting easily to the A1 at Junction 34. The preserved colliery headframe still dominates the skyline, a striking reminder of the area's coal mining past.
