Hanover is a small Kansas farming town of 828 people in Washington County, sitting on US Highway 36 about 45 miles northwest of Manhattan. The town serves as a quiet stop along the east-west corridor connecting Marysville and Belleville, with State Highway 148 providing north-south access to rural areas. It's home to the Hollenberg Pony Express Station, the only unaltered Pony Express station still standing on its original site.
