Hammond is a tiny Mississippi River town in southeastern Minnesota, home to just 134 people in Wabasha County's scenic bluff country. Highway 63 provides the main access, connecting north to I-94 and the Twin Cities about 60 miles away, or south toward Iowa. Most visitors arrive via Highway 61 along the river before turning inland. The town's standout feature is its historic stone church, built from local limestone quarried from the surrounding bluffs.
