Halewood occupies the southeastern edge of Liverpool, straddling the border between Merseyside's urban sprawl and Cheshire's greener landscapes. Long-distance visitors typically approach via Junction 6 of the M62, connecting to the A5300 Knowsley Expressway, whilst local traffic uses the A562 through Speke or the A561 from Widnes.
