Gretna is a growing suburb about 20 miles southwest of Omaha, easily reached via I-680 south to Highway 31 west. The town sits in rolling prairie country along the Platte River valley. Highway 31 runs north-south through town, connecting to I-80 for longer trips, while 204th Street handles east-west traffic. The community maintains its own small municipal airport right in town for general aviation.
