Greenisland
Greenisland is a tidy commuter town of 5,500 on Belfast Lough's shores, seven miles northeast of Belfast via the A2 coastal road. Named after a small island visible in the lough, it connects easily to Belfast by train or the M2 motorway. The town serves as a handy base for exploring County Antrim, with quick runs to Lisburn and Ballymena, or longer drives north to the Giant's Causeway along the scenic Causeway Coastal Route. The 1848 railway station still shows off its original Victorian stonework and cast iron canopies.
