Grassington serves as the unofficial capital of Upper Wharfedale, a traditional Yorkshire Dales market town built around a cobbled square lined with Georgian stone houses. The B6265 from Skipton provides the main approach, whilst the B6160 through Burnsall offers a particularly scenic alternative along the River Wharfe. With over 20 EV charging points nearby and its central location, it makes an excellent base for exploring the Dales. The medieval strip lynchets carved into the surrounding hillsides remain remarkably preserved after six centuries.
