Grasmere nestles in the central Lake District, reached via the A591 from Junction 36 of the M6. The scenic route winds through Windermere before arriving at this literary village, famous as Wordsworth's home where his grave lies beneath eight yew trees he planted in St. Oswald's churchyard.
