Grand Ledge sits 12 miles west of Lansing along the Grand River, accessible via I-96 Exit 93A onto M-100. The small city of 7,800 is known for its dramatic sandstone cliffs carved by the river during the ice age. Most visitors arrive from Grand Rapids (45 minutes east on I-96) or use local Highway M-43 connecting to Portland and Charlotte. The highlight is Ledge Park, featuring 60-foot sandstone cliffs that rank among southern Michigan's oldest exposed rock formations.
