Goresbridge

Goresbridge is a handy stop on the N9 between Dublin and Waterford, sitting about 15 kilometres south of Kilkenny city along the River Barrow. The town gets its name from the old stone bridge crossing the river, an 18th-century single-arch limestone structure with a distinctive humpback design that still carries traffic today. It's well-positioned for day trips from Kilkenny, Carlow, or Dublin, and there's decent electric vehicle charging in the area with around 40 fast chargers nearby. The Blackstairs Mountains are visible to the east on clear days, and the old bridge remains the heart of the community.
