Golant perches beside the River Fowey, six kilometres upstream from the harbour town. Access is via the A3082 from St. Austell or narrow lanes from Fowey, with approximately 50 EV charging points nearby. The 15th-century church of St. Sampson houses a remarkably preserved medieval stone screen with carved vine patterns.
