Glasheen sits on Cork city's south side, easily reached via the N40 South Ring Road connecting to the M8 for Dublin or the N22 from Kerry. Daily commuters typically use South Douglas Road from the city center, with handy links to Ballincollig and Carrigaline. Cork Airport is only 15 minutes away on the N27. The area's dominated by Cork Institute of Technology's Bishopstown campus, whose modern buildings light up the hills in the evenings and serve as a proper landmark for miles around.
