Gillow Heath lies in the Staffordshire Moorlands between Biddulph and the Cheshire border. Reach it via the A527 from Biddulph, connecting to the A34 for longer journeys or the M6 (15km west). The area sits amongst rolling countryside typical of the southern Pennine foothills. Electric vehicle drivers will find over 70 public fast chargers nearby. The preserved pithead baths complex at Chatterley Whitfield recalls the area's coal mining heritage.
