Gateley lies in rural Norfolk, about 25km northwest of Norwich among rolling countryside typical of East Anglia. Reach it via the A1067 from Norwich through Bawdeswell, then local lanes, or from King's Lynn using the A47 east before heading north through Great Ryburgh. The village sits between Fakenham and Dereham, with over 20 EV charging points available in the wider area. St Helen's church houses an exceptional 15th-century painted rood screen, among Norfolk's finest surviving medieval religious artwork.
