Gasconade is a small Missouri River town of about 300 people, located 75 miles west of St. Louis via I-70 and Route 19. The community sits where the Gasconade River meets the Missouri, surrounded by rolling hills and limestone bluffs. Route 19 connects it to Hermann's wine country to the north, while Route 100 follows the scenic Missouri River corridor. French explorers named the town after the Gasconade River, which they named for the Gascon people of France.
