Gargrave is a Dales village on the A65 between Skipton and Settle, popular with walkers and canal enthusiasts. The main road brings tourists heading northwest to the Lakes or southeast to Yorkshire's market towns. The Leeds-Liverpool Canal runs through the village centre with six locks that create a distinctive staircase of water.
