Fort Peck is a small Montana town of 280 people built around the massive Fort Peck Dam on the Missouri River. Take Highway 24 south from Highway 2 near Glasgow for the main approach. Long-distance visitors typically drive Highway 2 across northern Montana, while locals make the 20-minute trip from Glasgow. The historic Fort Peck Theatre from 1934 still hosts summer performances in its original Art Deco building.
