Forse is a small Caithness settlement on the A99 coastal road, about 20km south of Wick. Most visitors pass through following the North Coast 500 route, whilst locals make short trips to Lybster or longer journeys to Wick for services. The village sits amongst traditional crofting land where ancient field boundaries still divide the landscape into narrow strips worked by local families for generations.
