Popular with locals making short countryside trips from Harrogate, it's also accessible for longer journeys via the M1 or A1(M). Leeds Bradford Airport sits 15 kilometres southeast. The village's most striking feature is its Victorian railway viaduct, a magnificent stone structure that dominates the valley.
