Fleckney is a Leicestershire village 10 miles southeast of Leicester, reached via the A6 and local roads from the city center or junction 21 of the M1. Long-distance visitors typically approach from Birmingham via the M69 or from London via the M1, whilst local traffic uses village roads connecting to Market Harborough and surrounding settlements. The village retains its old railway station building from the former Great Central Railway, a reminder of its Victorian transport connections.
