Flakebridge

Flakebridge lies in Cumbria's Eden Valley, three kilometres from Appleby-in-Westmorland along the A66 trans-Pennine route. The town sits at a natural crossroads, with the M6 junction fifteen minutes away and local roads radiating to villages like Langton and Burrells. Long-distance travellers use it as a convenient stop between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales, whilst locals appreciate the easy access to Cumbria's countryside via the scenic B6260 and A685. The original stone bridge over the River Eden, which gives the settlement its name, has stood for over four centuries.
