Finglas lies 7 kilometres north of Dublin city centre, well connected by the N2 road running straight into town and the M50 orbital motorway at Junction 5. Most visitors arrive via the M1 from Belfast, then hop onto the M50 to reach Finglas Road. The area links easily to neighbouring Glasnevin and Ballymun through local roads, while Dublin Airport sits just 8 kilometres northeast. Electric vehicle drivers will find plenty of charging points across Dublin's network of 600 public fast chargers. The modernist Finglas Library on Mellowes Road, built in 1966, stands out as the area's most distinctive landmark.
