Faslane Port

Faslane Port lies on Gare Loch's eastern shore, roughly 40 kilometers northwest of Glasgow. This small Argyll and Bute community houses HM Naval Base Clyde, Britain's main nuclear submarine facility. Most visitors arrive via the A82 from Glasgow then A814 and B833, whilst locals use the A814 from Helensburgh. The base operates Scotland's largest dry dock, originally built for ocean liners.
