Evenwood

Evenwood is a former County Durham mining village on the A688 between Bishop Auckland and Barnard Castle. Reach it via the A1(M) Junction 58, then A68 north to A688 west, or A69 to A68 south from Newcastle. The village sits in Pennine foothills with around 90 EV charging points nearby. Its standout feature is the imposing Victorian Methodist chapel from 1877, built in local sandstone.
