Enfield Lock lies along the Lee Valley in north London, accessible via the A1010 from the M25 or A10. Most traffic comes from nearby Hertfordshire towns like Waltham Cross, whilst longer trips use the M25 and North Circular connections. The area has over 3,500 fast EV charging points nearby. The district takes its name from Lock 13 on the River Lee Navigation, an 18th-century canal lock that remains operational for passing barges.
