Eckford

Eckford is a small Borders village on the A698 between Kelso and Coldstream, with easy access to the A68 for Edinburgh or Newcastle. The 1774 parish church houses a rare collection of mort safes, iron cages that once protected graves from body snatchers supplying medical schools.
