Eastside, Orkney Islands

Eastside occupies South Ronaldsay's eastern shore, reached via ferry from John o' Groats then local roads connecting to Saint Margaret's Hope. The A961 runs north across the Churchill Barriers to Kirkwall, whilst approximately 2 fast chargers serve electric vehicles locally. The village overlooks the Pentland Skerries lighthouse, automated since 1794 but still warning ships off these notorious waters.
