East Hanney

England

England

East Hanney is a small Oxfordshire village in the Vale of White Horse, easily reached via the A338 from Wantage or the A420 from Oxford. Most visitors arrive from Oxford in about 20 minutes, taking the A34 south then A420 west before turning onto the A338. The surrounding countryside offers pleasant driving through typical English farmland, though winter mornings can bring visibility-reducing fog. The village's 12th-century St James Church houses remarkable medieval wall paintings discovered during 1960s restoration work.
