United States

Early is a small Texas town of 3,100 people in Brown County, just west of Brownwood. Highway 183 connects it directly to Brownwood and continues northwest toward Cisco, while US 377 and State Highway 279 provide regional access. Most visitors come from within Texas via these state routes rather than interstates. The town sits in rolling hill country terrain with a warm continental climate. Early was named after railroad official Walter U. Early when the Santa Fe Railway established the town in 1903.
