Dunquin (Dún Chaoin)

Dunquin sits at the very tip of the Dingle Peninsula, where the road simply ends at dramatic cliffs facing the Atlantic. This small Gaeltacht village draws visitors along the winding R559 from Dingle town, about 20 kilometers of coastal driving through stone-walled fields. The journey from Cork takes roughly 150 kilometers via the N22 and N70, while Dublin is about 350 kilometers away. Four public EV charging stations serve the growing number of electric cars making the trek to this remote spot. The village claims Europe's westernmost post office, a tiny stone building where travelers post cards from the continent's edge.
