Dunmanway

Dunmanway is a handy market town in west Cork, about 50 kilometres southwest of Cork city, where several regional roads meet. The N71 through Bandon connects to the R586 for the most direct route from Cork, while drivers from Kerry typically come via the N22 through Macroom. The town makes a grand base for exploring west Cork's coast and peninsulas, with decent electric charging facilities and good connections to nearby villages. The West Cork Model Railway Village just outside town features detailed miniature Irish railway stations, a nod to when Dunmanway was an important junction on the old Cork, Bandon and South Coast Railway.
