Dungourney

Ireland

Ireland

Dungourney is a small County Cork village about 25 kilometers east of Cork city, where the River Dungourney flows through fertile farmland. Take the N25 east from Cork city, then turn north at the R630 near Midleton for a 30-minute drive through prime agricultural country. From Dublin, follow the M8 south to join the N25. The village sits handily between major attractions like Fota Island golf course, Castlemartyr, and the Jameson Distillery in Midleton. Its 12th-century church boasts a rare round tower, one of only 65 left standing in Ireland.
