Duffus is a small Moray village reached via the A941 from Elgin, about 8km northwest. The A96 Aberdeen-Inverness road provides the main access, with local routes including the B9012 coastal road linking fishing villages like Hopeman. The village's remarkable feature is Duffus Castle, a medieval stone tower that has been slowly sinking and tilting into the marshy ground for centuries.
