Drumchork

Drumchork is a tiny Highland settlement near Aultbea on Loch Ewe's shores in Wester Ross. Reach it via the scenic but demanding A832 from Inverness, about 100km through Glen Docherty and past Loch Maree. The loch served as a vital naval anchorage during both world wars, with concrete wartime defences still dotting the coastline.
