Droop

Droop is a small Dorset village perched in the chalk downs between Blandford Forum and Sturminster Newton. Reach it via the A357 from Blandford, then minor roads through Hazelbury Bryan, or from the A303/A350 corridor via Shaftesbury. The surrounding lanes offer pleasant drives through traditional villages like Fifehead St Quintin and Stoke Wake. St Andrew's church houses a remarkable 15th-century wooden screen with surviving medieval paintwork.
