Dromcolliher sits 35 kilometers southeast of Limerick city in gentle farming country. Take the N21 southwest from Limerick, then branch onto the R515 at Abbeyfeale for the final stretch. From Cork, go north on the N20 to Charleville, then follow local roads through Knocknagree. The R576 connects to Newcastle West, about 15 kilometers away. The town's main street still features the old courthouse, a reminder of its days as the local market town and administrative hub for the surrounding agricultural district.
