Dowlais

Dowlais occupies elevated ground in the Taff Valley, 3km north of Merthyr Tydfil via the A4060. The A470 from Cardiff provides the main access route for visitors, whilst the A465 Heads of the Valleys road offers connections from the east. Over 90 EV charging points serve the area. The remains of what was once the world's largest ironworks still overlook the valley.
