Douglas is a former mining town in South Lanarkshire, positioned on the A70 between Hamilton and Ayr. The town sits at a useful junction for routes heading west to the coast or south toward the Borders, with good access to the M74 via local roads. It's surrounded by rolling countryside typical of the Douglas Valley, with approximately 18 fast EV chargers available nearby. The ruins of Douglas Castle, ancestral home of the medieval Douglas family, still dominate the hilltop above town.
