Dewlish

Dewlish is a small Dorset village in the chalk downlands, about 10 miles northeast of Dorchester. Reach it via the A354 from Dorchester through Cheselbourne, or from the A35 at Puddletown. The village sits in the Devil's Brook valley, surrounded by typical downland countryside. St. Lawrence Church houses a rare medieval wall painting of St. Lawrence's martyrdom, uncovered during 1960s restoration work.
