Derwenlas

Derwenlas lies in the Dyfi Valley, 3km south of Machynlleth on the A487 coastal route. The village provides easy access to both the Cambrian Mountains and Cardigan Bay coast, with the A489 branching east toward Newtown. The Centre for Alternative Technology operates here, featuring a cliff railway that's been carrying visitors up a 60-metre slope since 1973.
