Denton is a small County Durham village on the A67, about 10 minutes southwest of Darlington. It's handy for reaching both Darlington's amenities and the Yorkshire Dales beyond. The village sits near Piercebridge Roman Fort, where you can still see the ancient bridge foundations that once carried the Roman road Dere Street across the Tees.
