Deneside lies in County Durham's former coalfield, just off the A19 between Newcastle and Middlesbrough. The B1285 provides direct access, whilst coastal routes connect to Seaham and Hartlepool. Electric vehicle charging is plentiful with over 250 fast chargers nearby. The preserved Victorian pithead baths, now an auto parts premises, still display their original ornate railings and entrance walls.
